Freedom, so much freedom. When you walk around these, DAMN COMMIES shutter in fear. Fear of all the freedom and butt-kicking liberty these socks can deliver. Only socks like these can deliver that kind of patriotism your foot needs. And speaking of commies, what are these negative reviews claiming "misleading length" and "Not American Made"? First off once you slap old glory on your product regardless where it was made, it's automatically made in USA. And incorrect or misleading length? Freedom doesn't need to adjust to you and your disproportionate body, you need to adjust your body to freedom! So love it or leave it ladies and gents! No go on, take of those nasty dirty gym socks you've been wearing with the hole in it. You're not supposed to be wearing white socks with slacks anyways fool! And slip on to these beauties.Pros: Freedoms. Liberty. 1776. Scares off Commies. Red, white and even blue all in one.Cons: Does not come with bald Eagles, sold separately. Not enough stars.Several of my friends have cheekily commented, "oh hey where's waldo" when they see these socks. Only for me to pull up my jean leg to reveal the stars and answer firmly. AMERICA, that's where. They usually turn a patriotic shade of red when they realize how embarrassing it is they mistakenly made fun of the greatest country in the world presented through the medium of socks. They are not athletic socks. They are mid calf length so I wouldn't wear them with shorts. I wear these under a nice pair of blue jeans and put on some causal shoes when I want to feel patriotic, but don't have to show everyone all the time. They are comfortable, and sized comparatively to dress socks. Thus far, after several wearings and washings, they have kept their colors well, and the whites are not tarnished.Kudos if you noticed each paragraph has either "red", "white", or "blue" in it. I love these socks.I purchased these socks for my son (11 yrs) to wear in his rugby uniform as he's the only American on his British Rugby team here in the UK. Looking at the size and gauging by the photo, I thought they would be long enough for him, but they are a little smaller and much thinner than I thought they would be. They are more like a dress sock material. I am not disappointed in the purchase, but I do wish they were a little thicker and longer. Since they are $10 a pair, I expect them to be good quality.I would be more likely to buy again if they were $6-$8.~MikeI waited till July 4th to send this review as this purchase was part of his dress at work on 4th holiday. Both of us agree the socks were great but the picture is what we were disappointed about and why we purchase these socks. We thought (according to picture) they would be up to the knees, not true and not even close, so both my husband and I thought the socks were great but should be as the picture in the ad.Good looking socks. When you first open them, they are a little big on your feet. But after one wash cycle, they fit almost perfectly. Will update after a few more to see if they continue to shrink.Edit: Socks have stopped shrinking. Fit perfectly. I receive complements about these at work all the time. Good Dress sock.Socks are the exact socks you see in the picture, they go up to about mid lower calf, you can look at the blue and tell they are kind of thin which to me is a good thing because if you buy these socks you will probably be wearing shorts which means your not trying to keep your legs warm,I'm about a size nine and it fits great. I'm a bigger guy and the pattern isn't distorted too much on my legs. What's not to love about these socks?!?! Everyone has asked where I got them. They are kinda thin so your feet and legs can breathe. They stretch a lot so you can wear them short or really tall depending on what you like. Other than being the USA flag they are just socks. I wear a size 8.5 to 9 in Adidas and they fit me perfectly.
