I love how wide it is at the front as well so it doesn't squish my toes together. It is perfect for me because it's not so thin to the extent that I don't feel protection walking outside on the pavement or grass. But it's not too thick that I don't feel the ground under my feet. So I think maybe it is better to walk in because I can possibly receive grounding from the earth. I cant necessarily back that up scientifically. But it feels good. I weigh 142 pounds just for reference. I'm going to see if they have other colors. I know it's meant for swimming but I walk in them.I bought these for my summer vacations to the beach and pool, and that’s about as long as they’ll last. Probably one summer.They fit great and they actually look pretty good on, I didn’t feel like a total dork wearing them. They are easy to put on, which is important because I have a large foot and sometimes it’s hard to put shoes on if the ankle opening is too small.The only problem is that at the pool they get caught on all the pool cement on the inside of the pool and after three wears only, they looked like the attached photo. All of the sudden they looked like they have fur. Not cute.I’d have given them 5 stars if that didn’t happen. I didn’t think they’d pull like swimsuit material. I’m a designer and I know fabrics, so this one caught me off guard. But I didn’t want to spend a lot, so they’re great if you aren’t going in a pool, I guess?These water shows are snug, but so comfortable.I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta walking on rocky and sandy beaches and absolutely no sand got in my shoes because of the snug fit. But when I say snug, I don’t mean tight. It is literally like walking barefoot. Feels great. Whether in the ocean or at the pool. They’re perfect. And there’s no real rinsing required because the sand doesn’t get into the shoes. Worth every penny!I bought these as lightweight camp shoes / water crossing shoes while backpacking. I used them daily for 12 days in rough conditions. They exceeded my expectations. I even hiked in them for about a half mile when I had multiple water crossings. They performed well, but are starting to get some minor abrasions on the toes that look like they will lead to holes. I feel this is fair since they are basically just aqua socks. They are very comfortable and the tread was surprisingly grippy and good for clinging to rocks. I'd rebuy if these wear out.It’s nice and all, but it’s hard to get the smell out that left behind. The other water shoes did fine. This doesn’t stop me from buying more pairs of these down the road. You will enjoy it, some time smell from places you went. It feels great and people will complement you.I’ve worn aqua socks/water shoes for 25+ years while doing water sports and hands down, they are unequivocally the best I’ve worn.They are ridiculously comfortable, so much so that I wear them as house shoes/slippers too lol.They fit a wee bit small but I like them snug.The photo of them rolled up is accurate, form fitting and the soles are sturdy on rocks and paved surfaces but they don’t feel like they have soles hardly. You will be thrilled and 100% happy with them.I’m absolutely buying more so I don’t risk not being able to buy them again if I need/want to in different colors.I was hoping these would be good for my beach trip as many other brands I'd seen had reviews about them falling apart after one use. I wore these for hours in the ocean and then the pool with no issues. They're fairly durable, the rubber sole covers the whole bottom of the foot and comes up just over the toes (other brands had the cloth come just under the toes, hence falling apart). I also like the design and these were comfy. I'd recommendI am very happy with these. I was a bit worried they might not stay since there is no way to tighten them. I have worn them twice while swimming laps plus Aqua walking in pool. I’m pleased to report they stayed on without any problems. I’ll probably purchase at least one more pair.
