Fits well in wellies/ rainboots but more than snug on my calfs. I wear size 8 1/2 shoe with 16" calves. If you have wide calf over 14" the XL will be tight. I wish that they sold XXL :(Perfect in every way. A great cheaper alternative to buying Hunter Brand socks. They are warm and seem like they will be durable! I love them!Though the packaging stated fleece they were knitted, but my daughter liked the knitted style better than the Fleece. So I ended up with Welly lined Hunters and Hunter lined Welly's. They pretty much fit with each other. The colors and styles are pretty much the only difference. I preferred the Welly'sMy daughter is enjoying wearing these liners with her Hunter boots! I can't wear them with my boots because they make them too tight. The "socks" aren't form fitting to the foot. They look really cute and they're warm but I needed to buy a bigger pair of boots to wear them.Well these won't keep you warm in the dead of winter but they certainly make it more comfortable to walk through the slush we have on the streets and roads in Southern Ontario. An undocumented feature is that they make those uncomfortable rubber boots fit more snugly thus eliminating blisters caused by the boot rubbing.Price is a little steep.They arrived really quickly. The fold-over tops are exactly as I expected and are good quality. The leg and foot are slightly thinner than I'd hoped.
