For those who want a budget "Barefoot" feel and lightweight backpacking camp shoe, this might serve your purposes. These were fine for late-night quick "checking the horses" and putting the coffee on. After stream crossings, mine dried pretty quickly. Order larger if you need them for cooler weather and want to layer a dry sock.I ordered the mid-black kind (with higher ankles in 6.5-7.5 and mine are very snug even though that is my normal range of US women's sizing. (About a 37 EUR.) I would definitely order larger for socks. When I got mine they weighed just around 6 ozs or 170 grams for the pair. For anyone with super tender feet looking for something with more padding and protection, this is probably not your shoe.I love how wide it is at the front as well so it doesn't squish my toes together. It is perfect for me because it's not so thin to the extent that I don't feel protection walking outside on the pavement or grass. But it's not too thick that I don't feel the ground under my feet. So I think maybe it is better to walk in because I can possibly receive grounding from the earth. I cant necessarily back that up scientifically. But it feels good. I weigh 142 pounds just for reference. I'm going to see if they have other colors. I know it's meant for swimming but I walk in them.I bought these for my summer vacations to the beach and pool, and that’s about as long as they’ll last. Probably one summer. They fit great and they actually look pretty good on, I didn’t feel like a total dork wearing them. They are easy to put on, which is important because I have a large foot and sometimes it’s hard to put shoes on if the ankle opening is too small. The only problem is that at the pool they get caught on all the pool cement on the inside of the pool and after three wears only, they looked like the attached photo. All of the sudden they looked like they have fur. Not cute.I’d have given them 5 stars if that didn’t happen. I didn’t think they’d pull like swimsuit material. I’m a designer and I know fabrics, so this one caught me off guard. But I didn’t want to spend a lot, so they’re great if you aren’t going in a pool, I guess?I normally wear a size 9 shoe. I bought an 8.5/9.5, and the size was perfect. These worked so well in the pool. They didn’t stretch out in the water, and they were very comfortable. I got a new hip this past winter, so I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t slip in the water or on the pool deck-these made me feel very secure. These were good for the money. Just keep in mind the bottoms are not that great for walking on rocks on a beach. It’s doable but if you have sensitive feet it won’t be.These water shows are snug, but so comfortable.I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta walking on rocky and sandy beaches and absolutely no sand got in my shoes because of the snug fit. But when I say snug, I don’t mean tight. It is literally like walking barefoot. Feels great. Whether in the ocean or at the pool. They’re perfect. And there’s no real rinsing required because the sand doesn’t get into the shoes. Worth every penny! These are nothing fancy, but for the price, they get the job done. Worked well at Great Wolf Lodge. The fit is snug but that’s how I’d prefer them, being they’re going to get wet.Although these have zero arch support, they are very comfortable. Like wearing nothing. They are light, shed water quickly, airy, and sheer. If you are looking for water shoes that won't impede movement, these are for you! I recommend.
